This is a tearjerker of a book about a veterinarian who has died at the start of the story. She is unwilling to move on because she is afraid of all the souls of animals that she had to put down in her lifetime. She believes that they will be angry at her for killing them.
The story follows her spirit as she visits the people she left behind and as she tries to understand if there was any meaning to her life. The story also follows her husband and how he is dealing with life without his wife.
This book is very pro animal rights and any one who might be offended by the idea of animals in the afterlife would probably not like this book.
I was very moved by Unsaid and it certainly brought a few tears to my eyes, but I believe it was worth it. A very good story about the worth of ALL life, not just humans.
